Dear Beloveds,
This week I am writing about surrender, the art of knowing if and when to let go.
In life we have to choose what we want, direct ourselves towards our goals, and then be willing to let go when the way we've chosen no longer opens to us.
Surrendering....it can be so sweet and so painful. Often are deep on our way, and then everything changes, and we too have to change.
Personally I find with my goals, it is important to strive, to have intent, and yet to not hold tightly, to read and watch the signs and indications along the way signifying I am on the right path.
Often there is a pivot, a bit of a re-do, and from there an easing of the way.
Sometimes all it takes is a break to find new ideas and enthusiasm and different ways to pursue your goal.
Yet, other times there's such relief in a break, you know you're done.
I find reading the "signs," is helpful. Noticing if there are indications, co-incidences, or something you see or know that makes you aware how to continue on.
In our culture we have been conditioned to think we have to finish everything we begin and yet often the process itself turns out to be the goal.
But how do we know when we really have to let go?
Here are a few things to watch for:
Knowing when to surrender is always the key.
Virginia Rosenburg reminds us:
"You are not the leader. Spirit is.
There is trust, and then there’s surrender.
Surrender is an ACT OF SERVICE to trust.
Rest into what IS, including what feels wrong. Embrace, accept, and love it fully. In time, the right will be revealed."
There can be perfection in letting go and being with what is.
Knowing that Spirit is there for you and that you are held with love in the Universe makes it easier.
Knowing that there is a bigger picture, another way, or something you're not seeing and that truly there is wellness in surrendering paves the way for coming back to great inner peace as you let go...
